Roma Malik, Senior Advisor, Transportation Policy, is a recent addition to the Metrolinx team. The Transportation Policy team aims to integrate the Metrolinx Regional Transportation Plan and the 2015-2020 Sustainability Strategy through cross-functional collaboration in all articulated activities.
Roma holds a BA in Specialized Economics from Collège Glendon and graduated with a Masters in Environment and Sustainability from Western University. Her designations include retaining a LEED Accredited Professional designation in the Operations and Maintenance category, Recycling Council of Ontario Certified Waste Auditor, and ECO Canada’s Environmental Professional designation.
Her career portfolio includes over 8 years of experience in Sustainability in public and private sectors, with strong experience in engagement and project management of organizational sustainability and strategy development. Specifically, Roma has considerable experience developing sustainable procurement programs for the private and public sector, specifically focusing on waste reduction, construction waste, and supplier diversity.
Outside of her duties, Roma Malik is also a Climate Reality Project leader and enjoys working with the community to increase the knowledge of climate change issues.
