The Ontario Environment Industry Association (ONEIA), in collaboration with partner organizations across the environment and cleantech sector, presents:
“Party with the Parties” A discussion of Ontario Election 2018 and what could it mean for environment and cleantech companies!
Ontario’s most anticipated election in a generation poses some interesting questions for Ontario environment and cleantech companies. Will we retain a price on carbon? Are we headed towards an era of environmental deregulation? Will cap-and-trade end up on the scrap heap? And does anyone have an answer for the challenges facing electricity generation and transmission?
Join environmental businesspeople and activists from across the GTA on the evening of June 7 (election day in Ontario) as we will explore what the outcomes could mean for Ontario. ONEIA’s panel of policy watchers who can provide the perspectives of all major parties and then participate in a lively Q and A with the audience. We will then take a deep breath and watch election coverage on the big screen TVs as results come in from across the province. In addition to the panel, food and your first drink are included in your ticket price.
