Closing Date/Time: December 20, 2018: noon CST

The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) is developing a zero plastic waste action plan in partnership with organizations which have an interest and expertise on the topic.

The action plan is the next step in the Canada-wide Strategy on Zero Plastic Waste (PDF) approved November 2018. The Waste Reduction and Recovery Committee will be engaging with and seeking advice from federal, provincial and territorial governments, business leaders and industry associations, environmental and non-government organizations, Indigenous organizations, and municipal organizations on a zero plastic waste action plan, and how governments can support them in taking actions towards zero plastic waste.

The Contractor will design and provide facilitation for a two-day engagement event in order to gather input and advice on a Canada-wide zero plastic waste action plan from a wide range of stakeholders and interested parties estimated to be between 100 to 200. The Contractor will facilitate a one-day Project Team meeting, which will help inform the Contractor’s preparation of a report that summarizes the results of the engagement event, analyzes findings and information gaps, and identifies lessons learned for future engagement.

The project will commence by January 4, 2019 and will be completed by April 5, 2019.
